Verification paperwork being checked

What “verified” means here

Three things we check before anyone is listed.

  • A person reads every application

No profile goes live on an automatic approval. Someone on our team goes through it first.

  • Public liability insurance

We ask for the certificate, check the cover is current, and record the date it runs out.

  • ID and qualifications

Photo ID, proof of address, and any trade certificates. All checked before the profile is published.

Questions people ask

If yours is not here, ask us and we will answer it.

How do you check a trade before listing them?
A person reads every application. We ask for photo ID, proof of address, a public liability insurance certificate with its expiry date, and any trade qualifications they hold. Nothing is approved automatically, and nothing goes live until that is done.
Which areas do you cover?
Nottinghamshire, from NG1 to NG16. Each trade chooses the districts they will travel to, so you only see the ones who cover your postcode. See the full list.
Do you employ the tradespeople?
No. They are independent businesses. We check their paperwork and list them; the job itself is arranged between you and them.
How do I get in touch with someone?
Send a booking request from their profile, or message them directly. You will need an account first, so they have somewhere to reply to.
What if their insurance has run out?
We take the expiry date from the certificate when we check it, and we do not accept one that has already lapsed.
I am a tradesperson. What do I need to join?
Photo ID, proof of address, your public liability certificate, any trade qualifications, and a few photos of recent work. Applications are read by hand, usually within two working days.
Something has gone wrong with a job. What now?
Tell us which profile and what happened. We can pause a listing while we look into it. Get in touch.

Still not sure? Email hello@turbotraders.co.uk and a person will reply.

Get listed where customers can see you've been checked.

We check your ID, insurance and qualifications once. After that, people looking for your trade in your area can find you, see your past work, and message you directly.
